Hadima or Hidimba Devi Temple: - Hadima temple is a famous temple of Manali (1.5 km). Built in 1553 A.D. also known as ‘Doongri Temple’ dedicated to the Goddess Hidimba (Hirma Devi), the wife of Bhima. This temple was built by Raja Bahadur Singh of Kullu and shows a beautiful crafted work.
Solang Valley: - 13 kms, is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. It has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali.
Deo Tibba: – Also known as Indralika, this 2,953 meters (9,687 ft.) high snow dove Jagatsukh, has a legend around it, with Arjuna. He started performing ‘tapa’ at this mountain, under the advice of Maharishi Vyas, in order to obtain the powerful Pasupata Astra from Indra.
Malana: – 30-km from Katrain, near the beautiful Chandrakhani Pass of Manali, which offers striking views of Deo Tibba, is the mysterious village of Malana. The village is basically famous for its temple of Jamlu and its distinct and fully reserved social and cultural set up.
Rahala Falls: – Rahala Falls, a popular picnic spot, is situated at the starting point of the Rohtang Pass. Water dripping from precipitous rocks and glaciers serve as the source of the falls. The area around the waterfall is marked by thick deodar forests and birch trees. Snow- capped Himalayan peaks mark the background of the waterfalls.
The Castel: – The Castle was built around 1460 AD, by Rajah Sidh Singh of Kullu. The mediaeval structure is located in Naggar, which is a part of the Manali region. An architectural blend of western and Himalayan style is displayed by the castle. Located near the River Beas, the castle houses an art gallery. The mansion was converted to a rest house in 1978. The mansion displays a blend of stone and wood in its architecture. A temple is located in the courtyard of the castle.
Jagganath Devi Temple: – Jagannathi Devi Temple is believed to have been constructed 1,500 years ago. The presiding deity of the temple is Bhuweneshawari, who is considered as the sister of Lord Vishnu. Images of Goddess Durga adorn the walls of the temple. Legend behind the construction of the temple states that once a shepherd boy accidentally noticed two girls dancing to the tune of his magical flute, and he caught hold of one of them. After this, the goddess revealed her identity and agreed to settle in the village at Bekhli. To reach the temple that lies at an elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level, a 90 minutes ascend to the top is required.
